European Vegetation Classification Committee (EVCC)

The European Vegetation Classification Committee has been established by the IAVS Working Group European Vegetation Survey to maintain and update the standard phytosociological classification of European vegetation, taking the ‘EuroVegChecklist’ (Mucina et al. 2016, Applied Vegetation Science 19, Suppl. 1: 3–264) as a baseline. The EVCC work is defined by the document Procedures for Updating the Standard European Vegetation Classification.

Proposals for changes of specific parts of EuroVegChecklist can be submitted to the acting EVCC Secretary Wolfgang Willner (wolfgang.willner@vinca.at) or Deputy Secretary Idoia Biurrun (idoia.biurrun@ehu.eus).
